I'm having an issue trying to open it on macOS.

If you downloaded the software from the Download page, you may see an error message on macOS upon trying to open it:

Apple could not verify "Affidavit Bundler" is free of malware that may harm your Mac or compromise your privacy.

Because Affidavit Bundler is not digitally signed with an Apple approved certificate, Apple raises a false alarm that is intended to scare users. Apple does this, in part, to coerce independent software vendors into paying an Apple tax in exchange for removing a spurious warning for a security system which has been documented to not work. To suppress the warning permanently, do the following:

  1. Double click Affidavit Bundler as you normally would, and dismiss the message that appears.
  2. In the top left of your screen, click the Apple icon, then System Settings, then Privacy & Security.
  3. Scroll down to Security, near the bottom. You will see a line naming Affidavit Bundler as having been blocked, with an Open Anyway button beside it.
  4. Click Open Anyway, confirm with your fingerprint or password, and then click Open in the dialog that follows.
